GT Members "Sip and Paint," While Sharing Time Together

GT offers members a wide variety of social and educational activities to suit their tastes and interests. Recently, as a fun escape from the winter doldrums, GT sponsored a "Sip and Paint" day at Vis Arts in Rockville. Members got together to socialize while sharing wine & cheese and taking part in a painting class -- no experience required!  According to GT Social Chair Ester Kurz Scheibel, "about 15 members had a lovely Sip and Paint experience and want to do it again soon."

Other recent social activities included a lunch and theater party in March to see The Royal Shakespeare Company's production of "Hamnet," and a facilitated inter-active experience at the Town of Chevy Chase Town Hall, where members broke into groups to discuss thought-provoking questions that let them connect with each other on a personal level. It was a great opportunity to get to know fellow GT members. Ester says more social activities are planned throughout 2026.
