GT Builds a Multi-Sport Court at Bayne Elementary School

On Saturday, October 26, GT members gathered in PG County to build a play space for the kids of John H. Bayne Elementary School. We were joined by the families of Bayne students as well as people from the surrounding Capitol Heights community -- nearly 150 volunteers in all. Everyone was there to help build, paint and assemble. What a day!!!! 2019 Annual Meeting

On Thursday, September 26, members gathered for GT’s 2019 Annual Meeting. President Karen Gilgoff provided a recap of activities throughout our 10th Anniversary year and announced new plans for GT’s future. She also welcomed members who joined since the last Annual Meeting: Nancy Altman, Nancy Donaldson, Amy Peck Abraham, Joanie Golden, Sandra Shorr, Lisa Stark, Nancy Ebb, Nedra Weinstein and Margot Zimmerman. A big part of a packed agenda focused on our current grantees. We heard from Jen Stillerman, the Program Director for TARGET, the DC Volunteer Lawyers Project’s program for at-risk teens.
