GT offers members a wide variety of social and educational activities to suit their tastes and interests. Recently, as a fun escape from the winter doldrums, GT sponsored a "Sip and Paint" day at Vis Arts in Rockville. Members got together to socialize while sharing wine & cheese and taking part in a painting class -- no experience required! According to GT Social Chair Ester Kurz Scheibel, "about 15 members had a lovely Sip and Paint experience and want to do it again soon.

At Giving Together's Annual Meeting of the members on September 25th, 2025, our giving circle voted for a total of $120,000 in grants to area non-profits. On June 4, Giving Together held a discussion forum with three of our members who are first-time ("debut") published authors of award-winning books: Anita Lampel, Dian Siedel and Herta Feely. At Giving Together’s 2025 Spring fundraising event in May, GT announced the first recipients of the Jeanne Spivak Leadership Development Award.
