Healthy Babies Project

healthybabiesproject.org

Healthy Babies Project, Inc. (HBP), headquartered in Washington, D.C., connects non-parenting and pregnant and parenting teens to critical health care, social services, educational and housing resources, and life skills training. A 2017 Giving Together Grant recipient, HBP remains a cornerstone of support for young mothers striving to achieve independence and stability.

More than half of the young mothers and babies we serve are homeless or in transient living situations. To address this urgent need, HBP operates a crisis shelter and is currently rebuilding transitional homes that provide safe, clean, and nurturing environments where residents can work toward economic independence—often for up to five years—as they break cycles of poverty and build brighter futures for their families.
