Foundation for the Advancement of
Music and Education (FAME)

FAME was founded to ensure that every young musician is prepared for college, career, and lifelong learning through a four-pronged approach: Music Instruction, Academic Tutoring, College Preparation and Work Readiness.  FAME serves youth around the Greater Washington Region.

​

FAME has three major programs:

FAME Jazz Band Program

Summer Music Program

Music is Central Program

Volunteer Opportunities:

​

General

  • Assist at events ie Anniversary, fundraisers, Marketing & Communications advice

  • Sharing event information

  • Developing PSAs

  • Sharing FAME board member recruitment efforts

 

Youth workshops (Middle & High School students): 

  • Understanding finances, savings, stocks

  • Public speaking
